Ok. My first thought about LibraryThing was, I have no idea what this is, but I like it. I have my account and have begun to add, but there are so many books (sounds of salavating). Will blog more as I figure more out...

Thing 9- Finding Feeds

I tried out the same search on all of the search tools. I liked Topix best. I liked Syndic8 the least. The same search brought absolutely nothing on syndic8. And I was really looking. I find that for most of what I am looking for, adding an RSS feed is so simple that I really haven't needed to use any but the bloglines search for most of what I am seeking. I am not sure about confusing, but I didn't really "get" what syndic8 was trying to do for me. Whatever it was, it failed miserably. I am floored by the number of sites that I visit on a regular basis that have an RSS feed.

Bloglines

Well, to be honest I thought I knew a lot more about RSS feeds than I actually did. My bloglines account is up and running. I just need to link you to it...here. That should take you to my bloglines blog.

This is Grant Morrison. He is one of my heroes. Loudoun County Public Library owns one title by this extremely prolific comic book writer. It is JLA: One Million. Pretty cool futuristic stuff.

Technology

It seems that the purpose of this entire project is to get us to play with all of the different options for technology that are out there. None of these are too difficult if you have the time and some good directions. I might have gotten to a site like Flickr, but I don't think I would have messed around with it to find other things like Bubblr or Mappr unless I was given the task. Technology is just hard to keep up with.

I would like to add something that I think will help everyone better understand the term podcasting.
